Recent Seminars:

IMAF Edged Weapons Seminar at Evolutionary Martial Arts  in Hackettstown - IMAF conducted an edged weapons seminar at Sifu Dave's EMA  in Hackettstown Dec 16h 2011. Master Don Edwards was assisted by IMAF Doce Pares Black Belts, Guro's Chris Praml, Steve Grossbard and Randy Kansky. We covered some new material and drills developed at IMAF which was well received.  Thank you to Sifu Dave Ferreira (also an IMAF black belt) for hosting us at his amazing school.

Thanks to everyone who came down to attend SGM Diony seminar this past Sunday. This was truly a amazing event as one  of our senior students, Steve Grossbard, tested  in front of SGM for his Doce Pares Black Belt.

GM Diony Canete April 17th 2010  - SGM Diony Canete  and Master Gerald Canete conducted a Doce Pares Multi-style seminar at IMAF. We are very fortunate to have the SGM at IMAF and the students who attended walked away with an

Ron Balicki Seminar at IMAF September 27th and 28th 2008-Thanks to everyone who attended the Ron Balicki /Diana Inosanto seminar this weekend. Sifu Ron and Simo Diana shared some incredible information and everyone walked away better martial artist for it. Look for Sifu Ron again towards the end of May next year.

Grand Master "Diony" Canete Sunday October 14th-  This is a rare opportunity to train with GM Canete as he is in this country only once per year and does seminars for Doce Pares schools only!  Learn from the source of our Multi-Style system. Ron Balicki Seminar at IMAF June 2nd & 3rd 2007-  Ron Balicki a 2 day seminar at IMAF covering JKD, Filipino Martial Arts Shooto (MMA) and Silat. As usual this was an information packed 2 days. Everyone had a great time and walked away with some great information. Look for Sifu Ron again at IMAF soon. Congratulations to Tung Cheng who tested for Level 2 JKD under Sifu Ron.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

IMAF Seminar at Evolutionary Martial Arts - April 25th. Sifu Don, assisted by IMAF Sr. student  Randy Kansky, conducted an edged weapons workshop at Evolutionary Martial Arts in Hackettstown. Thanks to Sifu Dave Ferreira for inviting us down and to his students for the warm welcome extended to us through their excitment to learn the material.

Fernando Cabeca workshop at IMAF - August '06 - Fernando "Cabeca" conducted a workshop and evaluation at IMAF . Thanks to all those students that attended. You showed your dedication to furthering your knowledge and training in the intense multi-style curriculum that IMAF offers.

Conquest Athletics (Francisco Vazquez instructor) - Staten Island NY - July 15th - 10AM - Master Don Edwards, assisted by IMAF senior student Anthony Gerber,  conducted a  Doce Pares seminar at Conquest Athletics covering stick fighting, blade and empty hand concepts. Everyone had a great day and it was a real pleasure to present this material to Masters Franks group. We look forward to more workshops in the future. June 10th 2006 - Grand Master Diony Canete and Master Dong Cuesta conducted a Doce Pares workshop at IMAF Tuesday evening. This was a perfect opportunity for many of IMAF's new students to gain first hand instruction from one of the most sought after Doce Pares instructors today! IMAF is also proud to announce two top students, "Big" Mike Horn and Chris Praml endured a one hour test administered by Master "Dong" Cuesta for their Black Belt in Doce Pares Multi Style system. Both students had to demonstrate "real time" fighting ability with stick, blade and empty hand. They both turned in nearly perfect scores and totally impressed both Master Dong and Grand Master Diony. Congratulations to both students!

September 15th '05 - Fernando "Cabeca" Sarmento BJJ Workshop -

Fernando Sarmento Jr., IMAF's  BJJ Coach, conducted a 2 hour workshop at IMAF September 15th. Fernando demonstrated some great techniques for all levels and some great details that make things work. At the end of the workshop Fernando gave out some well deserved promotions.

GM “Diony” Canete – June 14th  -  Thanks to all those students as well as Guro Big John, Guro Pete and Guro Tom, that were able to make it to the GM Diony workshop. The combination of GM "Diony and Master "Val" was truly incredible. Everyone was blown away by the totally realistic combat knife applications and the Espada Y Daga drills.

Ron Balicki  - May 21st & May 22nd 2005 - IMAF hosted Ron Balicki for a second time in what was another great information packed seminar. Students were given instruction in various martial arts styles - in keeping with IMAF's cross training philosophy - including JKD, Kali, Silat and Shooto. Ron  possesses the ability to show techniques and the nuances that make them work. Thanks to all that were able to attend.
